… and talking about reading your first novel in English but not reading doesn’t make your English improve! 😉
I am sure you heard last week that a school board in Tennessee voted to ban (= prohibit) MAUS from the curriculum for 13-year-old pupils.
As a lifelong language learner 😆, I try to practise what I preach and put myself in my students’ shoes 👠👟👞 . That’s why I have abandoned my to-be-read English novels this month and picked up one translated into French🇫🇷 instead that I bought on my holidays 🕶 ☀️ 🏕 .
It’s not often that I read a book more than once. I have far too many books on my to-be-read pile that are in desperate need of my attention! 😉
